Position Summary
Thales requires a Warehouse Manager to be responsible and accountable for the daily operation of the warehouse as well as the effective and timely execution of logistics activities. In this role, you will be responsible for a team of Warehouse Operators and Warehouse Coordinators to support the AJISS program. As the Warehouse Manager, you manage and coordinate the team to provide an uninterrupted flow of materials required by the business. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and the customer to resolve issues and support material availability for the AJISS program.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Responsible for all domains of the Warehouse including daily warehouse operations: receiving, storing and distributing of inventory.Conducting freight management - inward/outward to ensure IncoTerms are monitored, customs requirements are adhered to and dangerous goods are processed in accordance to industry standards. Maintaining the warehouse facility and material handling equipment to approved standards. Engage with Stakeholders to ensure operational priorities are fulfilled by the materials management function.Responsible for all Warehouse policies and procedures with collaboration from stakeholders for operational improvement. Develop and implement a program of continuous improvement in line with supply chain processes.Providing inventory control and asset security with cycle counts and reporting. Prepare and generate reports, maintain registers and support KPIs in collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager and/ or stakeholders.Responsible for leading and supervising direct reports including annual objectives and reviews.Coordinate and facilitate regular team meetings with Warehouse department. Manager or committee representative of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee, including the support of all regular inspections. Ensure compliance with ISO series quality accreditation and Defense regulatory requirements.People & Development
Perform the recruitment, induction, and training of staff.Provide feedback on employee performance.Set and monitor performance objectives for direct reports.Operational team management with the allocation of staff shifts, holiday coverage and absences.Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience performing similar activities within a supply chain environment.Demonstrated experience working within Procurement and/or Supply Chain & Warehousing environments.Proven experience in the use of SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.Strong computer literacy, proficient in MS Office Suite.Working knowledge of purchasing, warehousing and distribution processes and systems.If you’re excited about working with Thales, but not meeting the requirements for this position, we encourage you to join our Talent Community
