We are seeking a dynamic Warehouse Manager with a background in agriculture products to lead out warehouse operations located in Kwinana WA
About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager – West Coast, this role will oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of agricultural chemicals, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards while optimising efficiency and productivity
Key Responsibilities:
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement among warehouse staff. Manage the receiving, storage, and shipping of agricultural chemicals, including fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. Lead and mentor warehouse staff, providing training on chemical handling procedures and safety protocols. Implement and maintain proper storage practices for agricultural chemicals, including segregation, labelling, and inventory management. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of chemicals and resolve any discrepancies or quality issues. Develop and enforce safety procedures to minimise risks associated with chemical handling, storage, and transportation. Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations governing the handling and disposal of agricultural chemicals. Utilise technology and warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, monitor expiration dates, batch control, and manage orders. Analyse data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.About you:
To be successful in this role you will have a sound understanding of warehouse operations and the agricultural industry. In addition, you will demonstrate:
Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the agricultural chemicals industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of agricultural chemicals, including handling procedures, storage requirements, and regulatory compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in warehouse management software (SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
