Position Summary: Directs warehousing activities for organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Responsibilities: Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. Responsible for physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment. Works with Supervisors to maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances. Directs salvage of damaged or used material. Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities. Improves workflow and operations performances. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Requirements: + High level of attention to detail and ability to read and mark up complex documents is critical to this role. + Ability to prioritize workload and be self-directed and self-motivated. + Ability to proactively work on new projects and recognize and report business improvement opportunities. + Possess highly effective communication skills which include verbal and written internally and externally. + Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite experience such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. + Metals, Engineering, Fabrication or similar commercial industry experience is preferred. + Ability to learn proprietary program (Metalware).
