Job Description SummaryThe Warehouse Operations Leader will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering operational excellence, driving customer success, and leading growth initiatives to expand the service offerings of the GE Gas Power Atlanta warehouse. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, this position focuses on overseeing the service delivery of an embedded Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider, developing tactical strategies to enhance or recover production pacing, and fostering collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, operations acumen, and strategic vision to ensure the success of the Atlanta warehouse.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the Atlanta Warehouse objectives to drive results.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers of the warehouse, both internal and external, as well as with the 3PL provider by providing strategic and tactical insights and acting as a trusted advisor to the warehouse manager and the Parts Distribution Leader.Analyze performance trends and develop insights to inform decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.Serve as a primary point of escalation for order management, regional, and service providers managing relationships to achieve mutual business success.Establish and drive processes that enable operational excellence with external parties to the warehouse that rely on the service offerings of the warehouse to support regional and site customers.Build and operationalize metrics and KPI’s to identify areas for continuous improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.  Monitor 3PL and process performance through KPIs, addressing risks and opportunities to maintain alignment with objectives.Manage internal project budgets, cost efficiency, and reporting to reduce risk in achieving business objectives.Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with internal production processes and/or service offerings to prevent quality escapes to external customers.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve financial, technical, and delivery challenges.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.7+ years of experience in operations, services, or project management within the logistics and materials distribution industry.Proven track record in managing metrics and KPI’s and driving high-performance results.Expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight.Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, ensuring successful delivery against strategic objectives.Strong knowledge of industry trends, digital solutions, and customer-centric strategies.

Proven ability to lead and work in a cross-functional, multi-task environment.Strong organizational skills with a structured approach.Demonstrated success in cross-functional project management.Experience in materials or inventory management.Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent quality certification.Superior communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and energize.Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a focus on best practices and continuous improvement.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel), ERP systems (Oracle/SAP), and financial systems.

The base pay range for this position is $91,400.00 - 130,00.00 USD Annual.  The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
