Warehouse Operations Manager - 1st Shift

C.H. Robinson is seeking a 1st shift Operations Manager to join our team in Union City, GA. As a key leader within our 400,000 square foot facility, you will oversee the Distribution Center facility operations, maintaining optimum productivity levels and managing the cost of services provided to C.H. Robinson branch customers. As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you’ll be at the helm of day-to-day warehouse functions, overseeing outbound operations. Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Operational execution for all services required of C.H. Robinson customers

Drive the safety, efficiency, and accuracy of all warehouse operations

Conduct analysis of workload as compared to manpower and equipment

Implement staffing model to align with workload and labor goals, ensuring work schedules are in place to promote efficiency

Manage KPI’s of all departments, containing cost and managing the budget

Implement safety and sanitation schedules that ensure the facilities compliance with corporate, OSHA, and AIB standards

Work with Transportation to ensure smooth flow of inbound and outbound carriers

Partner with Service Assurance to ensure all customer needs are being met

Ensure daily pre-shift meetings cover safety, previous productivity, operational opportunities, forecasting workload, and any other pertinent company information

Responsible for the training, development, and performance coaching of the team

Perform gap analysis on all warehouse standard operating procedures

Required Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old

Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment

Minimum 2 years of experience leading and managing teams

Knowledge of efficient and safe warehousing practices

Proficient computer skills

Manual dexterity required for operating machinery

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs

Ability to work all day in an ambient temperature environment

Ability to work Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm (ability to work overtime if needed)

Applicants in a warehouse role must complete a pre-employment drug screen as part of a conditional job offer.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Ability to motivate and inspire high performing teams

Proven history of delivering detail oriented, accurate and organized results under pressure 

Demonstrates the desire and capacity to operate in an entrepreneurial, multi-task environment

Bilingual in Spanish and English

Compensation Range

$72,500.00 - $113,000.00
