Professional Qualifications Grade 12 compulsory Degree or Diploma in at least one of the following disciplines preferable: Industrial Engineering Warehousing management Supply Chain management Experience, Skills and Competencies Requires strong business and management skill, with the ability to work both strategically and at an operational level. Experience in a Warehouse and Logistics operations environment, managing various distribution sites. Experience managing OHS and safety guidelines. High levels of planning skill and experience. Must be able to plan and manage varying capacity demand and supply daily. Strong Warehouse Management System experience. Excellent problem-solving skills and a solution driven mindset. Adapt to delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize effectively. Ability to establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service. Excellent communicator, team player, professional and interpersonal skills. Excellent computer skills – Previous experience using Microsoft Navision, Business Central or similar will be an advantage. Previous experience implementing/maintaining 5S and Lean Principles preferable. Experience in value stream mapping and time studies will be an advantage. Experience implementing systems and procedures in the Warehouse, finding the best way to do things and then implement Basic Description Ensure Warehouse excellence, safety, team morale as well as that all Warehouse Operations are efficient, optimized and customer focused. Develop strategic plans and policies to improve Warehouse operations and strategically manage the Warehouse in compliance with policies, legislation and safety. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service. Efficient planning and management of people, processes and system resources to achieve cost and customer service levels, while meeting KPI targets. Set up and implement high standards in the inbound, put away, storage and outbound processes. Provide an effective and reliable service to customers in time and manner, as well as keep high inventory accuracy, quality and controls. Manage stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency. Keep a clean and organized Warehouse. Identify any waste in the Warehouse processes. Build and maintain a Safety culture aligned to our Company’s and Occupational Health and Safety requirements. Interact with all supply chain functions such as Sales, Purchasing and Planning, to ensure the correct flow of information, in addition ensuring the satisfaction of internal and external customers. Logistics management: review process improvement, cost analysis, scheduling and stakeholder relationships. Ongoing management and maintenance of the vehicle fleet. Implement a Continuous Improvement culture and develop the team to increase productivity. Daily and monthly KPI reporting. Manage the KPI’s and reports of the Warehouse daily on-time and accuracy, discrepancy, receiving on time, managing returns, control the inventory accuracy and productivity of the Warehouse. Maintain condition of Warehouse and all equipment used in the warehouse. Ensure a high level of inventory accuracy, supervising the cycle counting process and planning and organizing the annual count. Apply Supply Chain best practice to actively identify, analyze and recommend quick win opportunities and projects. Lead, develop and manage Warehouse staff, evaluating and developing the team to grow and learn daily. Foster a workplace culture that is consistent with the Company’s organizational culture. Budget control of the Warehouse expenses to identify cost opportunity, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action. Drive and manage OTD meetings and communication with inter-departmental managers to improve OTD.
