Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role will develop and champion the strategies, execution, and the processes needed to drive results to optimize the logistic and warehousing operation that supports the organizational goals for customer satisfaction, OTD, inventory and cost controls. This role is responsible for developing and is required standard work for safety, freight, and trade compliance activities. You will be responsible for developing the team's key performance indicators and associated actions to drive improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of the team and their contribution to both individual, functional, and wider business goals and objectives. The Supervisor will need to develop best in class warehouse and logistics practices while delivering in a very dynamic, fast-paced environment custom engineered project-based business. This position will interact with Project Managers, Engineers, Buyers, Finance, Quality Assurance, Applications and Sales.
This position is part of the Supply Chain Department located in London, ON and Cortland, NY and will be onsite in Cortland, New York.
This role will require travel internationally for up to 15% of the time.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
As a People Leader, the Warehouse Operations Supervisor will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining the warehouse and logistics Team managing and helping them to meet or exceed business objectives.Leading daily management processes to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity, On-Time Delivery, and materials management, utilizing data to solve problems and implement countermeasures.Ensuring a safe working environment compliant with OSHA and company policies, drive the Veralto Enterprise System (VES) culture, and champion associate engagement.Train and sustain standard work practices that meet business requirements, fostering teamwork and effective communication across the organization.Develop with your Associates Development for Growth Plans and collaborates with your Associates throughout the year to achieve their goals.Create Annual Performance for Growth objectives for your Associates that are in line with critical business objectives and goals.Work with the Business Leaders / Managers, Procurement, Engineering Organizations to develop strategies to effectively manage inventory, reduce inventory levels, shorten cycle times, improve Customer experience, increase quality, lower cost, improve efficiency, and maximize on-time delivery performance.A key strategic deliverable of this role is to develop and implement best in class warehouse, logistics, and inventory management systems that are focus on improving; working capital, reduce costs, customer expectations.Create, Review, and Implement policies and/or procedures for Warehouse & Inventory Management activities using VES (Veralto Enterprise System Tools) while monitoring performance through supply chain KPIs.Effectively communicate across the organization warehouse & logistics market trends and develop risk management strategies/actions to ensure business continuity.Evaluate marketplace trends and provide price and budget guidance to operating companies for targeted spend or transportation mode categories Monitor budget performance, report risks and opportunities to cross functional team.Lead carrier contract management including negotiations, selection process, qualification, and performance evaluation.Responsible for development and implementation of standard policies and procedures for freight, duty, and trade compliance activities. This is involve working with other operating companies or corporate.The essential requirements of the job include:
Business degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics ISM or CPSM or CCLP or APICS (CLTD) designation.Minimum of 5 years Materials and Inventory Management experience.Experience working with an MRP/ERP system (BAAN, BAAN LN, SAP)Strong user experience with Microsoft Office applications; especially Excel, Word, MS Project, and Reporting, as well as strong digital literacy (data analysis, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, statistical tools.)Continuous Improvement and Problem-Solving experience. (VES/DBS experience is a plus.)Ability to travel internationally for business needs (up to 15%)Customer focus via a positive, approachable, and respectful attitude towards internal and external customers.It would be great if you also possess:

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
