Warehouse Operative

We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Operator to join our Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport Project team in our new Warehouse in Eastern Creek. Please note that this position will be engaged as a contractor role through a third-party agency, on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with possibility of extension, at an hourly rate of $43/hr plus super.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for performing various tasks in warehouse & construction environments to ensure the smooth operation of daily construction activities:

Efficiently handle receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. Maintain high safety standards and adhere to protocols. Assist in loading/unloading and inspect materials for damage or discrepancies. Ensure proper storage, organization, and accurate inventory management. Perform quality checks and report issues promptly, maintaining a safe work environment.

Experience Required:

Extensive experience working in a Warehouse & Distribution role dealing with material receiving and dispatch processes Experience using stock management systems such as SAP or similar. Forklift (LF) High Risk Work Licence Order picking and goods inspection processes. 3 years’ experience operating forklift, telehandler, reach truck or similar. Experience placing and retrieving stock from warehouse racking systems. Experience with safe loading/unloading practices and Heavy Vehicle National Law(HVNL) policies and procedures.

Our Warehouse and Logistics team form an integral part of the business helping with delivery on large Government Infrastructure projects. Our input is crucial to ensure materials are delivered, accounted for and available when required. Our goal as part of supply chain, is to ensure that the site install teams have the materials needed and delivered on time to assist with meeting tight install schedules.
