Warehouse Person

Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Powering Vehicles, Motion, Work, and Lives since 1966.

Responsible to perform various warehouse activities including organizing stock, maintaining inventory levels, process, pack and prepare packages for shipment. Performing material handling activities which may include uncrating containers and crates and moving parts and materials to the correct location in the warehouse.

Performance Expectations

·       Process, pack and prepare orders for shipment accurately

·       Perform material handling activities such as receiving and appropriately, packing, unpacking sorting and storing incoming shipments, materials and parts

·       Perform a variety of activities such as filling warehouse orders, checking, weighing an counting orders

·       Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment.

·       Complete all shipping and receiving documents.

·        Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.

·        Assist with the execution of physical inventory counts and perform location auditing and reporting.

·        Communicate with Manager/Supervisor to confirm details such as purchase order numbers.

·        Follow all warehouse procedures and safety protocol

·        Perform other duties as assigned

Credentials

·       High school Diploma

Desired Characteristics

·       Proven work experience in a warehouse setting or similar environment.

·       Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks and other necessary warehouse equipment

·       Ability to competently and safely operate a forklift

·       Good working knowledge of warehouse data systems

·       Solid communication skills

·       Strong Inventory skills

·       Above average written and oral communication skills

·       Ability to plan and multi-task

·       Detailed oriented

·        Ability to work in a team or independently as needed

·        Physical stamina and dexterity for the work

·        Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

·        Ability to plan workload, in conjunction with Manager/Supervisor with flexibility to adjust plans according to customer requirementsassembly and quality problems.
