ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Receives materials from common carriers and suppliers.
· Inspects and counts incoming materials, and verifies against order for correctness and conditions.
· Reports any deviations to the supervisor.
· Store materials in warehouses and obtain proper paperwork authorizing storage from other departments of non-inventory assets.
· Fills orders and issues supplies upon receipt of approved requisition request.
· Delivers materials to user departments.
· Verifies correctness of orders with receiving departments and obtains authorized signature on warehouse transfer receipt.
· Assists in taking inventory of all materials, obtains required signatures on receipts and bills of lading, and maintains required reports and records.
· Adheres to internal submissions as they apply to warehouse operations per the IllinoisGaming Board.
· ProtectsCompany assets as they apply to off-site warehouse storage.
· Makes special mail deliveries and pick-ups as assigned.
· Operates company vehicle and material handling equipment safely, as assigned.
· Keeps warehouse buildings and material handling equipment safely as assigned.
· Keeps warehouse buildings and grounds clean and orderly.
· Uses extreme care in handling, issuing, storing, retrieving, and disposing of stored files.
· Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
· Adheres to all regulatory, company, and department policies and procedures.
· Completes all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous warehouse experience preferred.
· Operator of a valid Illinois driver's license.
· Six months of warehouse experience preferred.
· Physically able to lift, climb, and walk as described on the checklist of physical and mental demands.
· Good mathematical and clerical aptitude for accurate record keeping.
· Able to operate trucks with manual transmission.
· Certified in forklift operations a benefit.
· Excellent customer service skills a must.
JOB DEMANDS:
· Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 75 lbs. frequently.
· Position requires 80% standing, 5% sitting, 15% walking.
· Requires frequent bending, pushing, twisting, kneeling, climbing, and stooping.
· Requires reaching overhead very frequently.
· Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke.
· Must be able to respond to touch, speech, visual and aural cues.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment involving constant internal customer contact.
