Currently looking for a **Warehouse Person** for our PICCO District in **Channelview, Texas** regular hours with pay rate ranging from **$18.00-$22.00** based on experience, No Per Diem for this position. As a **Warehouse Person** you will contribute to our team by: + Receives material coming into the warehouse by vendors, customers, or returning from projects accurately and promptly. + Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking items received against the packing list. + Prepares a receiving report if none is available. + Examine incoming shipments for damaged items. Appropriately report/record + any discrepancies. + To accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner. + Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers. + Assembles and fills orders to be shipped to projects or vendors. + Review all requisitions to determine if they were picked correctly. + Ensure warehouse cleanliness is maintained on a regular basis. + Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area. What you will bring to the role: + Be able to identify items by size, type, style, color or manufacturer. + Solid reading skills – must be able to read requisitions for materials to be shipped + Basic math skills and reasoning skills. + Must have Forklift experience, certification a plus. + Ability to understand and execute instructions. + General understanding of the warehouse and footprint + Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices or computers if necessary.
