The Warehouse Shipper is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of products from the warehouse to customers. This role includes organizing shipments, preparing orders, verifying inventory, and coordinating with carriers to ensure deliveries are processed efficiently and on schedule. The Warehouse Shipper plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction through the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment:Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications and company procedures.Verify the accuracy of orders, ensuring that all items are correct, properly packed, and ready for shipment.Shipping Coordination:Prepare shipping labels and necessary paperwork, including bills of lading, packing slips, and invoices.Coordinate with shipping carriers (UPS, Purolator, ICS, Manitoulin etc.) to arrange pickups and ensure timely deliveries.Schedule shipments and track orders to ensure timely delivery.Inventory Management:Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, reporting discrepancies, and conducting regular inventory counts.Ensure that products are stored in the correct locations within the warehouse, minimizing errors and loss.Warehouse Organization:Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and safe for all personnel, adhering to company safety protocols and guidelines.Manage packaging materials, ensuring that the correct packaging materials are used for each order.Customer Service:Work closely with customer service teams to resolve any shipping issues or delays.Handle customer inquiries related to shipping status and provide updates as needed.Documentation & Reporting:Maintain accurate records of shipped orders, tracking numbers, and any issues that arise.Assist in preparing weekly or monthly shipping reports for management.Compliance:Follow all safety procedures and regulations when handling materials and operating warehouse equipment.Ensure that all shipments comply with relevant shipping regulations and guidelines.Skills & Qualifications:
Education:High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional logistics or warehouse certifications are a plus.Experience:Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics role is preferred.Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping softwarePhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.Comfort with standing, bending, and moving throughout the warehouse for extended periods.Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus.Skills:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.Basic math skills for order verification and inventory management.
