Your Role:
An exciting opportunity exists in our Burnaby research facility for an energetic and committed person in Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse and Housekeeping. We are looking for a candidate with good hands-on experience and a diverse skillset. The successful candidate will ensure smooth operations in Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse to provide optimum support to the company’s business activities. The candidate must also thrive in a team-oriented environment, as well as work well independently.
Responsibilities:
Shipping: prepare shipments for transport and complete all shipping documents Receiving: process and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and sorting Warehouse management: organization and tracking of inventory/assets (totes, pallets, equipment, etc.) in warehouse and offsite storage sites Inventory control: Organize and store items in their designated locations and audit/order/restock as needed Material handling using pallet jack, forklift, electric reach, metal banding, etc. Complete forms, reports, logs and records (paper, computer data entry, sorting/filtering data using Excel) Ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe and clean condition Basic vehicle & equipment repairs and maintenance Perform light housekeeping and maintenance in the warehouse, lab and office area (including kitchen and washrooms)Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of Shipping and Warehouse experience in an industrial/commercial environment High school diploma or equivalent TDG experience and certification Familiarity with both domestic and international shipping Experience ordering from vendors Experience in an industrial worksite and/or a research laboratory Tool experience (hand and power tools, etc.) Forklift, counterbalance, reach truck and scissor lift experience (forklift license is a must) Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50lb Proficient with computers and MS 365 environment (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) Service-oriented and strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multi-task, stay organized and be safety-oriented Excellent written and communication skills, fluency in written and spoken EnglishThe salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
