SUMMARY

Performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan handling Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and etc. Verifies all incoming and outgoing merchandise and reviews the receiving and issuing documents.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Verifies materials against receiving documents, noting, and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations. Stores, stacks, or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials. Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage. Removes material from storage and prepares it for use. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Demonstrates knowledge of quality control and quality assurance procedures. Follows established procedures to ensure achievement of quality, safety, and security standards. Maintains regular and punctual attendance. Performs other duties as required, which may include:

- Accomplishing assigned tasks in closely related fields.

- Working at all field locations.

- Responding to changes in work schedules, overtime, and off-hour call-ins.

- Participating in formal training, on-the-job training, and cross-training activities.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Five (5) years’ military or civilian work experience associated with warehouse duties. Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

High school diploma desirable. Technical schooling preferred. Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Ability to prioritize multi-tasks successfully.
