AIP is looking for a Warehouse Specialist to work in Brownsville, TX. The Warehouse Specialist shall be responsible for the management, and accountability of facility supplies. Warehouse Specialist shall be responsible for the inventory, stocking and issuance of facility supplies at the facility warehouse, detainee property/facility supply and food service. The management and accountability of facility supplies shall be consistent with the applicable requirements of PBNDS 2011 (2016 Revision) and ACA standards. **Responsibilities**
+ Operate an electronic perpetual tracking data system to track all items received, stored, stocked, delivered, etc. in real time. The tracking system will be accessible by ICE using an Ahtna provided tablet or computer.
+ Maintain all supplies at prescribed levels and adjusting supply levels ensuring adequate supplies are available.
+ Ensure all chemicals are ICE approved prior to ordering, maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) with stock, and maintaining an up-to-date master SDS binder.
+ Performing physical inventories as directed by the Warehouse Manager or designee.
+ Assist with preparing and processing requisitions for supplies replenishment.
+ Receipt of supplies and preparation of discrepancy reports and other supply transaction reports that will be submitted to the Warehouse Manager or designee.
+ Training new staff assigned to the facility warehouse, detainee property/ facility supply or food service.
+ Preparing detainee personal property/detainee supply reports and submit to the Warehouse Manager or designee.
+ Properly identifying and marking detainee personal property.
+ Wash detainee personal clothing, inventory, and store in the detainee’s property bag.
+ Issue supplies, uniforms, and hygiene items to detainees during in-processing.
+ Timely processing of incoming/outgoing detainee personal property, and rapid disposition of detainee excess property/baggage and/or unreturned or abandoned personal property.
+ Coordinate filling orders and issuing food supplies from stock. Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock, and requisitions food articles to fill incoming orders.
+ Compile reports on the use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
+ Designate identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles. Coordinate the distribution of food supplies among food service staff, keeping records of food items issued, and adjust articles carried in stock.
+ Performing physical inventories of food supplies located in freezers, coolers, and dry storage.
+ Receipt of food supplies and preparation of discrepancy reports and other supply transaction reports that will be submitted to the Assistant Food Service Manager.
+ Utilizing the most effective means of storage/stocking to accommodate new stock and appropriately rotate older stock (e.g., first in, first out) as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
+ Maintaining a safe and OSHA compliant supply and storage area.
+ Operate a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and other equipment to move supplies.
+ Other administrative or supply related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ High School diploma or equivalent and at least 21 years of age.
+ 2 years of experience in supply, warehouse, food service or similar work setting.
+ Experienced working with inventory, shipping, receiving and stock systems.
+ Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
+ Computer skills, including proficiency in various Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, Access, and Excel.
+ Organizational skills commensurate with position.
+ Must be forklift certified or able to obtain a forklift certification prior to Entry on Duty.
+ US citizen or person lawfully admitted into the United States for permanent residence.
+ Must have resided in the US for the last five (5) years (unless abroad on official US government duty).
+ Must be able to obtain a favorable Suitability for Employment determination through ICE.
+ Must have a Social Security card issued by the Social Security Administration.
