Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Warehouse Specialist role is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of activities in daily warehouse operations.
These tasks include compiling/maintaining product inventory and status information, order scheduling, solving issues related to scheduling, monitoring warehouse tasks to resolve related issues, and expediting movement of products to ensure efficient operations.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development of daily load plan and monitor progress to determine task assignments and order priority. Coordinate with department Supervisors and Transportation team resources to ensure plan attainment. Perform all necessary functions in SAP/EWM including warehouse order scheduling, load completion, goods issues, and shipment paperwork generation.
Complete Bill of Ladings (BOLs) and respective paperwork to prepare shipment for pick-up. Communicate status of shipment with carriers and Transportation Planning Center.
Direct warehouse staff (when necessary) to manage bin utilization and to identify/take advantage of opportunities for consolidation. Responsible for performing and/or supporting inventory cycle counts in alignment with the company’s inventory management
procedures. Lead or support the management of returns, mislabels, damaged, and unmarked products to ensure proper reporting/system processing.
Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience:
Previous experience in the Warehousing industry, with knowledge of warehouse operations
Excellent problem-solving skills - ability to deal with carriers (dispatch and drivers), customers, and suppliers in varying situations
Familiarity with setting-up the daily dock plan (based on activity) and effectively implementing with supervision
Knowledge:
Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office (Excel and Access - Desired)
SAP familiarity

The pay range for this position is GGN06: 41646 - 77344 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
