Assist warehouse management in obtaining maximum efficiency and performs warehouse operations.

What you'll be doing

Insures that all warehouse employees are trained to perform their duties. (may conduct training classes.)Assigns employees to specific jobs and monitors performance. (provide feedback to supervisor)Insures that work is promptly documented consistent with GMP's, GDP's, SOP's, Specs., and any Regulatory Requirement.Performs operations document review.Insures the appropriate filing of all documents.Insures compliance with all applicable Safety and Environmental Requirements.Insures that the highest standards of orderliness and housekeeping are kept at the warehouse. Follow up on 6’S to assure all areas are kept organized.Performs periodic rack inspection verification and review with Supervisor. Informs and takes actions of any hazards noticed.Maintains contact with customer departments to maintain awareness on changing requirements and be able to monitor how we are fulfilling them.Responsible for the monthly cycle count process in coordination with the Finance Department and the Inventory Analyst.Responsible for resolving any inventory discrepancy and maintain the highest inventory accuracy.Responsible for the coordination of trailer unloading in such a manner to guarantee procedures are met.Responsible for the coordination of materials dispatching to Production Areas in a timely manner.Performs receiving process as required.Backfill for shipping traffic coordinator performing JDE shipments or perform ramp activities as needed.Responsible for the promptly communication to area supervisor for any planned or required activity that cannot be accomplished as planned.Insures that all materials returned from production areas comply with our warehouse regulatory requirements.Provides leadership to enhance performance of department and takes charge in the absence of the supervisor.Performs other duties as assigned.


What you'll bring

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). More than three years of warehouse experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and immediate supervisor.

Requires strong interpersonal and organization skills. Proficient in warehouse management systems and pc environments.

Proficient in the use of POMS and GME systems.

Must be able to lift 10 - 50 Ibs and be able to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Must be able to work overtime as required. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

cGMP's Training, Heavy Driver License, Forklift license, and other trainings, certificates or licenses that the immediate supervisor refers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 100 poundS (with the appropriate safety equipment that Baxter provides). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
