Job Description

The Warehouse Specialist is a functional role that includes distribution order picking, stocking, packaging, and other material handling and inventory control tasks to ensure timely and accurate shipments are made to our customers. This position requires the team member to have the flexibility and willingness to work in any environment within the warehouse operations. Additionally, the Warehouse Specialist may be required to learn, perform, and/or be proficient within other areas of warehouse operations, take on advanced responsibilities, and train others.

ResponsibilitiesPackage and palletize ordersLoad and unload trucksProcess stock transfers and material requestsReplenish production and warehouse as directedTimely process physical and ERP goods movements and receipts, including documentation and physical condition verificationAssist in timely returns processingSupport cycle counting activitiesComplete confirmations, backflushing, and work order goods receiptsLabel orders for shipment including dangerous goods, international, and carrier paperwork and/or labels; certifications provided when neededComplete verifications of items picked for accuracy and conditionGenerate work orders and sales orders from ERPAssist in orientation and cross-training of Warehouse AssociatesAssist Warehouse Associates in troubleshooting issues as they arise, escalating to warehouse leadership appropriatelyEssential SkillsExperience with order picking, packaging, kitting, and palletizingProficiency in using RF scanners and pallet jacksInventory control knowledgeMaterial handling skillsAbility to stock, ship, and receive goodsAttention to detail for labeling and processing shipmentsExperience with ERP systems for generating work and sales ordersAdditional Skills & QualificationsCertifications for handling dangerous goods and international shipmentsExperience in training and orienting new team membersTroubleshooting skills for warehouse operationsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment for this position is a combination of warehouse and manufacturing settings. As a manufacturer and distributor of products and supplies, the incumbent will be exposed to various temperatures, fumes, and loud noise in the manufacturing setting. The incumbent must be able to tolerate some exposure to these workplace characteristics and follow company safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment as required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burnsville, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
