Warehouse Supervisor

System One is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor in the Charlotte, NC area.




The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of receiving, warehouse supervison, shipping, and production control / cycle counting activities.  Area leaders drive improvements in safety, culture, quality, customer service, productivity, cost, and production lead time.

The Warehouse Supervisor should have a minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team in a warehouse/distribution/logistics environment. They need to be well organized and be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize and delegate work. Experience with LEAN tools and concepts is beneficial.

Skills/Experience: Minimum experience – three (3) years in a warehouse environment leading a team with a demonstrated success record. Strong Communication skills Experience with: MS Tools (Outlook, Excel, Word); ERP Systems (NetSuite experience is beneficial). Highly organized and ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate work. LEAN experience beneficial

Daily Work Responsibilities: Plan and manage the activities of the Production and Warehouse operations to exceed customer expectations for delivery and quality every single day: labor hours, materials, and consumables. Work closely with the Quality Manager to develop and implement policies and controls that reduce product variation, scrap, and rework, as well as promote efficiency.  Work to increase the quality of our supply base.   Work closely with Customer Service/Account Management to prioritize daily work plans and ensure that all customer expectations are met or exceeded. Ensuring the Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse (SRW) team performs their duties safely and efficiently by communicating hazards and policies, ensuring adherence to procedures, and continuously improving on processes for better safety and accuracy. Managing and monitoring of the trucking/logistics  Coordinate pulling/prepping/staging of material for on-time deliveries. Help to build a continuous improvement culture that constantly strives to eliminate waste and increase our value to customers.   Improve the flow of product through the warehouse and utilization of team members. Manage inventory in the warehouse to improve cycle count accuracy to +98% to reduce the time involved for annual physical inventory counts.  Act as the “voice of the customer” internally. Develop, train, and supervise staff; develop SMART objectives and give regular feedback via documented performance appraisals.   Be impeccably honest and ethical.    #LI-MA2
