Job Summary: 

 

The Warehouse Supervisor, under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager or Division Vice-President, provides daily oversight of the division’s warehouse operations.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities*:

 

Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures Accounts and audits all equipment, materials and supplies in the warehouse Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment Ensure that all employees comply with safety standards and team members are always safety conscious Ensures that employees attend all required training Continually searches for ways to improve results and effectiveness. Provides regular performance updates and recommendation to senior management Provides ongoing supervision, training, coaching and feedback to improve performance and meet objectives of all assigned areas to ensure optimal performance. Provides leadership to designated teams through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication based on direction from senior management. Addresses issues of concern related to performance providing constructive and ongoing feedback and consequences if performance remains below standards. Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

 

3-5+ years’ experience in warehouse management 3-5+ years’ experience leading successful, productive teams High school diploma or GED Intermediate computer skills and able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Ability to manage projects and resources Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing Excellent verbal and written communication skills Valid driver's license required EPA certification Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may occasionally be required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

HVAC or Home Services experience

Positive attitude and a team player Ability to build positive relationships with customers, both internal and external Willingness and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the orgazination  Safety mindset and acceptance of a safety culture Related experience may be substituted for education

 

Working Conditions:

 

Partial climate-controlled warehouse environment Fast-paced environment  Travel by vehicle to and from work locations Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE

 

Physical Requirements:

 

Must be able to lift/move up to 20 pounds frequently  Frequently performs tasks requiring bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching Must be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction-grade work boots  Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other equipment safely. With natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception  Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others  Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad Must be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and tools
