We are currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join us at our facility in Farnham.
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to optimize warehouse processes, and a keen eye for inventory management. This role involves supervising warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), coordinating shipments, and implementing best practices to enhance overall productivity.
Key responsibilities:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure stock accuracy and timely replenishment, overseeing the FIFOCoordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper handling and documentation.Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.Develop and improve warehouse procedures to optimize workflow and efficiency.Operate and oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Assist in resolving operational issues, including delays, damaged goods, and discrepancies.Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and warehouse activities.Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to streamline operations.Manage floor resources efficiently.Lead productivity initiatives, SPQDC (Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost), and implement lessons learned.Identify and develop new SOPs to enhance warehouse efficiency.Take ownership of exploring opportunity areas for operational improvements.Follow up on action plans to drive continuous improvement.Ensure all floor employees comply with corporate and global safety guidelines.Lead by example to develop and mentor direct reports.Key requirements:
Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role.Strong leadership and team management skills.Background or understanding of warehouse logistics.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.Ability to operate warehouse equipment and obtain necessary certifications if required.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.Proficiency in PC and warehouse management systems such as SAP.Post-secondary education in logistics preferred or equivalent experience.Experience in preparing specific inventory reports in coordination with logistics and warehouse departments.Ensures compliance with various city ordinances, licenses, and inspections.Coordinates timely and accurate delivery of inventory to system offices.Performs other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager.Forklift certification is a plus.Work Environment:
