Position Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor reports to The Plant Manager and will have primary responsibility for managing all warehouse, and distribution-related activities. He/she will also be accountable for meeting plant shipping productivity, safety, quality, and employee engagement objectives.

The Warehouse Supervisor will maintain all quality and safety programs and ensure that the warehouse team meets all applicable quality and safety requirements. There will be collaboration with the Warehouse Manager and plant leadership team to establish annual goals and objectives for the facility, including areas pertaining to budget and productivity. This person will manage the team in accordance with policies, practices, procedures, and programs.

Primary Responsibilities

Work to meet customer expectations regarding product quality and on-time delivery.Participate in the facility meetings and actively serve as a member of ongoing plant committees (i.e. safety, quality, 5S, Housekeeping, etc.)Lead shift meetings for shift transitions, safety, quality, 5s, and housekeeping)Identify quality, safety, housekeeping, productivity, and engagement issues. Using H.B. Fuller policies as a guideline, engage the team to understand root cause and develop possible solutions using a disciplined process improvement methodology.Accountable for inventory, including reconciling material loss. Learn, implement, and coach team on ERP system. Audit ERP transactions to ensure accuracy.Build and lead teams. Support the development of employees.Drive objectives using the Performance Planning & Assessment (PPA) process for direct reports within the deadline. Handle all corrective action according to established guidelines, in coordination with the packaging manager, and the human resources manager.Participate in interviewing and selection process for new employees, and actively manage the onboarding process for new hires, per established guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent coupled with 3-5 years of related warehouse distribution experience or a 4-year degree.Up to 5/6 direct reports, latitude for decision-making or independence of control.2+ years’ experience leading/supervising others and solving problems independently.Ability to work in a plant environment, walking, standing, stairs, heat, coldAble to lift 40 pounds regularlyStrong organizational skills and an ability to plan and meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to lead teams established to accomplish specific objectivesAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations manually, with the aid of a calculator, or through the use of computerized spreadsheets.Business and financial acumenExperience with MS Office SuiteDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Knowledge of shipping and receivingKnowledge of Hazmat handling and shippingAdhesives industry experienceFamiliarity with disciplined process improvement toolsFamiliarity with SAP or similar ERP system
