Job DescriptionDue to continued growth our Washington site have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team on a full time, permanent basis.
Salary: £31,000-£35,000 per annum.
Working hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 8am-6pm.
The purpose of a Warehouse Supervisor is to lead a team ensuring good productivity, picking accuracy and the overall performance of the warehouse is achieved to meet customer and company service levels.
Key Duties of a Warehouse Supervisor:
To supervise the warehouse staff to ensure that warehouse disciplines are rigidly maintained.To be responsible for the achievement of daily KPI's to ensure daily targets and despatch requirement are met.Ensuring all operatives are trained in the warehouse discipline of picking and to arrange retraining where necessary.Ensure that company standards of hygiene and housekeeping are achieved and taking appropriate action where it is not found.Ensure that the Company Health & Safety Rules are enforced in the warehouse, and any issues are reported in line with company procedures.Identifying procedures and or systems used which could be improved to help minimise warehouse errors and maximise staff productivity.To manage day to day team issues including holidays authorisation and arranging cover, timekeeping and absence monitoring, completion of daily time sheets.To manage any performance issues with the team in liaison with the Warehouse Managers and HR.QualificationsPrevious experience of operating in various positions within a warehouse, including operating MHE and managing people.High level of attention to detail.Strong team player as well as able to work on their own initiative.In depth knowledge of operating warehouse systems.Good knowledge of health and safety.PC Literate to a minimum of intermediate level in MS Office.Effective Communicator who continuously demonstrates excellent customer service skills.Excellent time management skills and problem solving skills.Additional InformationAs part of our drive to make Fowler Welch a great place to work.
