The position will be best suited for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is eager to jump in no matter where they are needed Principle Responsibilities: + Team Supervision: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, ensuring they are well-trained, productive, and safety conscious. This involves assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress to ensure that work is completed efficiently and according to quality standards. + Quality Assurance: Ensure that all in-bound and out-bound materials are handled accurately in accordance to training. (DOT, Hazmat, IATA, etc.) + Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance warehouse processes, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency while maintaining product integrity. + Safety:Enforce safety protocols and best practices (DOT, Hazmat, IATA, etc.) to create a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel. Encouraged participation in the safety committee. + Documentation: Maintainaccurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and compliance documentation to support audits and regulatory requirements. + Vendor Relations: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply chain issues. + Training: Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff. + Procurement: Monitor and maintain accurate levels of warehouse supplies. + Reporting: Generate and communicate regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and compliance metrics to team, management, and organization. + Act as backup to Material Manager. + Carry out other duties as assigned.
