Warehouse Supervisor (Supply & Support Activity)

Overview **This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP** Reports to the Warehouse Manager. Responsible for daily operations of the Supply Support Activites Warehouse to include performing technical supply management duties (e.g., inventory(Stock control), storage,receiving, Isuse, and Turn-in,) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Using a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, and an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced, applies analytical ability to define and take appropriate supply action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. Assists Warehouse Manager in planning and coordinating workloads to optimize use of resources to include personnel, equipment, tools and facilities. Establishes programs to meet normal and contingeny mission requirements. Prepares, analyzes and briefs reports as required. Recommends solutions to problems indicated by analysis of trends, indicators, potental problems or those identified by management and/or the government. Ensures all required reports are submitted accurately and on time. Monitor the COSIS and Shelf Life program. Provides management direction and oversight of the day to day warehouse operations. This may include but not limited to storage, inventories, receiving, shipping and the monitoring of activies within GCSS-Army or AIS. Works with and in conjunction with other departments to accomplish all required tasks. Monitors and evaluates work performance of the employees to ensure they are in compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and all regulations pertaining to their assigned duties. Ensures that employees are always in compliance with established Safety Policies and Regulations. Ensures safeguarding of all Army property, Goods, and equipment. Implements Work Performance Training when required. Performs other duties and assignments as required. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Kuwait Driver’s License are required. Must be able to maintain USG Network access & CAC card privilege(s). Experience: Minimum of 7 years specialized experience in supply operations. Must have served in position of increased responsibility encompassing program planning and supervisory experience. (Warehouse management experience is mandatory) Minimum of 4 Years’ experience with current USG AIS (GCSS-Army), required in an advanced role (lead, foreman, etc.) Minimum of 4 Years’ experience with Military Standard Requisition and Issuing Procedures (MILSTRIP) or equivalent civilian program is required. Skills: Must be able to operate material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, man lift etc. Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and storage requirements to meet compatibility of products based on hazard class is required. Leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor, are required. Strong interpersonal skills are required. Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement is required. Ability to prioritized responsibilities to handle a demanding workload is required. Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is required. Advance ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form is required. High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed and accurate is required. Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook and ALL Microsoft applications is required. GCSS-Army or SAP base knowledge and experience to include providing a training certificate Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible to manage hours of personnel including use of overtime for mission requirements and to the best interest of Vectrus. Responsible to supervise up to 120 personnel on day or night shift. Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. Physical Requirements: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
