Job Description

Assist Shift Manager in the management of teams in order to motivate teams, ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are monitored, all Company policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to and that all product is picked and dispatched to the highest standard in line with or exceeding KPI’s.

Manage and motivate the shift team ensuring that productivity and service KPI’s are achieved or exceededEnsure the highest possible levels of Health, Safety and Hygiene are upheld so that legislative and quality requirements can be complied with, ensure relevant paperwork is completed and retainedDeliver communication briefings so that all shift are aware of all Company and local issues and employees are able to offer input/improvements and feel involvedManage Goods Inwards area to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy ordersDevelop all team members so that their contributions to the Warehouse can be maximised and succession planCarry out disciplinary / grievance interviews and investigations in line with Company procedureMonitor and control sickness absence levels in line with Company policy and carry out return to work interviews effectively and efficientlyMonitor and control the time and attendance systemEnsure the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers to efficiently and cost effectively run the shiftEnforce and adhere all Company policies and proceduresMonitor and control training for teams, ensuring the correct amount of Health & Safety representation on shift, eg. First Aiders; Fire Marshalls

QualificationsComputer literate with knowledge of ExcelConfident at dealing with people at all levelAdaptable and methodical approach to work/ training/ working hoursConscientious and reliableExcellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate informationAbility to work efficiently and accurately under pressureEffectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlinesAbility to work as part of a team or individuallyProfessional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operationProactive approach and able to make decisions
