**Job Title: Warehouse Worker**
**Job Description**
This position requires proficiency in receiving, sorting, staging, replenishment, put away, picking, packing, cycle counting, and shipping. You will manage the integrity of freight shipping to customers, complete all orders in the system, and communicate with carriers. High productivity and consistent quality are essential. You will assist other DC team members with process questions, adapt to changing daily tasks, and learn new tasks quickly. Proficiency in basic WMS screens, SAP receiving module, and RF scan gun operation is required. You will also be a role model and coach to other DC employees.
**Responsibilities**
+ Determine daily work schedule via work board instructions and as directed by Supervisor.
+ Perform equipment inspection and complete proper documentation before operating any equipment.
+ Unload shipments from trucks using a forklift or pallet jack, read labels to determine storage or staging location, and confirm order quantities with packing lists.
+ Perform a 3-way match to validate product part numbers and quantities received match purchase order and packing list.
+ Input information into both SAP and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure data entered is accurate and complete.
+ Transport pallets from receiving and production areas to designated storage and staging locations using a forklift or reach truck.
+ Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies using paperwork, Warehouse Management System, Traffic, Inside Sales, and Customer Service.
+ Pick inventory using RF gun and place in containers, transport to packing lanes, and verify quantity matches with scanner instructions.
+ Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) data to properly consolidate pallets for multiple orders on a single outbound trailer.
+ Ensure all shipments and orders are properly and safely packed onto trucks according to bills of lading and information is updated in SAP utilizing the WMS.
+ Participate in daily cycle counting, maintaining high attention to detail, patience, and quality.
+ Scan pallets and inventory into receiving to determine storage location and transport product accordingly.
+ Maintain individual process performance and strive to reduce order throughput time.
+ Ensure facility and equipment checklists are maintained, perform and maintain cleanliness, 5s functions, and forklift inspections.
+ Proactively work towards error proofing, recognizing problems before they happen, and communicate potential problems to supervisors.
+ Ensure pallets are of high quality, damage-free, and transported safely without incident.
+ Maintain accurate inventory levels, resolve discrepancies, and focus on individual quality improvement.
+ Create personal improvement plans for individual process or quality issues and contribute to process changes in response to customer errors.
+ Correct and record technical errors from manufacturing and vendors.
+ Maintain a clean work environment and perform 5S activities to organize and manage the distribution center.
+ Assist DC team member I, II, and III as needed and perform other duties as required or assigned.
+ Comply with safety rules and general safety guidelines, including slips, trips, falls, good housekeeping, safe lifting, and proper equipment usage.
**Essential Skills**
+ Accurate counting and math skills.
+ Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook, SAP.
+ Knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
+ Experience with warehouse management systems.
+ Ability to adhere to quality standards and procedures.
+ Ability to read and understand information presented.
+ Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, etc.
+ Ability to lift and move heavy or bulky items weighing 50 pounds or more.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Attention to detail and ability to perform with superior service.
+ Ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ 3+ years of warehouse experience.
+ Warehouse Management Systems experience required.
+ SAP Receiving experience required.
+ Cycle counting experience required.
+ Certification in material handling equipment required.
+ 5S experience preferred.
+ Lean experience preferred.
**Work Environment**
The distribution center is an extension of the plastics production plant. It is not climate controlled. The work involves manual labor, including packaging boxes on lines and order picking. The environment requires someone who can interpret directions, follow through, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
