**Job Overview** :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Slitter and Winder Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating slitting and winding machines to cut, trim, and wind materials into specified sizes and formats. This position requires a strong understanding of machine operations, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
**Key Responsibilities** :
+ Set up, operate, and monitor slitter and winder machines to cut and wind materials to specifications.
+ Adjust machine settings to ensure proper alignment and accurate measurements.
+ Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality, ensuring they meet required standards.
+ Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any operational issues.
+ Ensure the safe operation of all machinery and adherence to safety protocols.
+ Maintain accurate records of production counts, machine downtime, and material usage.
+ Collaborate with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
+ Keep the work area clean and organized, following all safety and operational guidelines.
**Qualifications** :
+ High school diploma or equivalent (technical training in machinery operation is a plus).
+ Previous experience operating slitter and winder machines or similar machinery preferred.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
+ Ability to read and understand blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications.
+ Attention to detail and a focus on quality control.
+ Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
+ Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.90 - $20.90/hr.
