Job Description

This position involves managing and maintaining containers and racks in a warehouse environment. Containers and racks, previously used for housing parts, are sent to the facility for processing. The role includes working with a mixture of racks and totes, cleaning containers, and ensuring efficient workflow. The candidate will be standing for the entire shift with breaks provided.

ResponsibilitiesOperate washing machines to clean plastic totes, including loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and scanning totes.Work in process lanes (inbound) to remove manufacturer tags from containers and racks and use a hand scanner to process incoming items.Repair large plastic containers using hand drills and screwdrivers. Containers range from 2x2 to 8x8 feet.Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks, read paperwork, and ensure correct containers are shipped.Essential Skills6 months of recent labor or forklift experience.Ability to pass a forklift test, including driving forward and backward through cones and lifting and setting down a pallet.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work 10 hours of overtime.Ability to work on Saturdays.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in warehouse or manufacturing settings.Understanding of basic safety procedures and ability to follow instructions.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The new warehouse, built in 2023, operates in a fast-paced environment with temperatures of 50+ degrees in the winter and warmer in the summer. The facility is cleaned regularly with a sweeper run at least twice a week. The team consists of 10 employees and 1 supervisor. Shift hours are 1st Shift M-F 5a-1:30p. Training and orientation will be conducted in East Moline on the first day, even for those assigned to the Davenport location, starting at 7am and may take up to 3 days.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
