Warehouse Worker - Woodridge, IL

JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for all medical equipment warehouse duties including but not limited to unloading trucks, receiving inventory, putting away inventory and processing staged orders to be shipped from the warehouse. This position processes Bills of Lading (BOLs) and selects the appropriate carrier is to be used depending on the location of customers receiving orders. Maintains a safe, orderly warehouse and participates in projects related to organization of staged orders, inventory, returns, inbound freight and outbound freight. 

Work Hours: The standard work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 4:00PM CST

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Unloads inbound freight utilizing a pallet jack

Puts away incoming freight by adding to existing staged orders or storing in available inventory utilizing a pallet jack or forklift

Receives freight on purchase orders in the equipment system

Maintains a safe, clean, orderly warehouse; removes trash and debris from the floor, performs general organizational tasks, and ensures restrooms and other warehouse facilities are cleaned and maintained

Maintains locations of staged orders

Maintains locations for available inventory, warehouse shipping supplies, janitorial supplies, and miscellaneous items in the warehouse

Processes outbound shipments, pulls orders, processes BOLs, processes packing slips and maintains required documentation

Schedules inbound and outbound shipments and communicates with freight carriers

Reports issues with incoming product including damages, shortages and incorrect items received

Performs inventory checks and reconciles inventory issues by researching inventory and order issues

Processes returns to vendors/suppliers

Trains and provides support for new TSMs

Participates in period inventory inspections and annual physical inventory

Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

Driver’s license required

Forklift certification required (certification may be completed locally)

Pallet jack/hand truck use

Basic computer skills are required in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Typically 2 or more years of related experience.

Previous warehouse experience is recommended

Forklift experience is recommended

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

Typically High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Warehouse environment, utilizing typical warehouse equipment including a forklift, pallet jack and hand trucks in addition to typical office equipment. Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 - 100 pounds safely and regularly as part of daily job duties.
