Wargames and Exercises Modeling and Simulation Engineer
Colorado Springs, CO, USA | Salary | 80,000-110,000 per year | Full Time Job Title: Wargames and Exercises Modeling and Simulation Engineer Location: Schriever SFB, Colorado (On-Site) The Modeling and Simulation Engineer (MSE) will support the Missile Defense Agency Directorate for Wargames and Exercises. They will be capable of executing engineering tasks associated with supporting Combatant Command (CCMD) exercises with designing, building, and running modeling and simulations of ballistic missile defense systems and ballistic missile threats. The Engineer will execute planning, configuring, monitoring, and implementation of Missile Defense System (MDS) parameters into simulation software such as MDASIM and EADSIM to support distributive virtual and constructive exercises modeling BMD systems and BM threats. Duties: + Support the technical lead in all aspects of Missile Defense System (MDS) Wargames and Exercises modeling and simulation. + Conduct System Engineering Integration and Test (SEI&T) element pre-test coordination, event execution, pre and post mission testing. + Responsibilities range from weekly planning meetings and technical work involved with diverse network and architecture configurations. + Configure and conduct on-console support on designated modeling and simulation workstations that support CCMD and MDA BMD exercises. + Assist with identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies. Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science field. + 7 years relevant experience to include DoD test processes and/or test execution desired. + CompTIA Security+ desired. + Experience with DoD Wargames and Exercises. + Familiarity with the DoD Joint Event Life Cycle process. + Familiarity with MDASIM, OSM, EADSIM and other modeling and simulation software. + Must be a self-starter, able to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. + Ability to configure and operate Windows and LINUX workstations. + Software development experience desired. Security Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret security clearance. Other Essential Job Functions: + Ability to support domestic and international travel. + Must be willing to support shiftwork as required.
