Warping Winder II

Position Overview

 Load packages of single or plied yarn on the carousel of the Back winder machine. Doff off finished product packages as directed and otherwise operate a Back winder machine.

Job Responsibilities

•             Operate a Gilbos Backwind Machine

•          Open pallets or cases of raw yarn using Duckbill knife or other appropriate hand tool.

•          Recycle or discard packaging material.

•          Remove yarn from container, transfer to creel pegs, and splice in.

•          Place usable empty tubes in magazine.

•          Place appropriate yarn label instead the tube of finished yarn.

•          Tie off and doff packages of finished yarn.

•          Visually compare finished yarn to the standard for color and quality discrepancies.

•          Pack yarn using the pack-out conveyor.

•          Compare labels, doff tickets, and spec sheets for discrepancies.

•          Maintain any reports and/or records.

Requirements

Frequently required to read, write, stand, walk, reach 78ins, and handle packages 12-14lbs.

Occasionally required to kneel, crouch, stoop, and lift

Occasionally required to lift 25lbs.

Ability to carry out written and oral instructions
