Job Summary
Salary to commensurate with qualifications
The Sheriff’s Office provides public safety at all times and therefore every position is deemed essential. All positions are in-person and not eligible for remote work. Every position is also subject to recall based on the needs of the Office to keep the community safe.
This position has an anticipated work schedule of Monday – Friday, 1:50pm - 9:50pm , subject to change.
Under FLSA guidelines, this position is non-exempt.

Processes warrants received from the courts, responds to inquiries concerning active warrants, cancels warrants out of computer system, processes served warrants ensuring return to courts, and processes daily in-custody felony preliminary paperwork for the district court. Processes extradition requests.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
+ Processes felony and misdemeanor warrants received from the courts.
+ Types labels, files, and enters data into the NCIC/CCIC system.
+ Responds to inquiries from the courts, District Attorney's Office, Sheriff's Department, bondsmen, Local, State, and Federal agencies and the public regarding warrants.
+ Communicates with Federal and State agencies regarding out-of-state extraditions.
+ Initiates and processes paperwork in support of extraditions.
+ Completes files on served or canceled warrants. Cancels warrants from NCIC/CCIC and County systems.
+ Sends and receives teletype information regarding warrants to international and national law enforcement agencies via the NCIC/CCIC system.
+ Receives, verifies, and responds to requests received on the computer from other law enforcement agencies.
+ Prepares information for detainer and Governor's warrants for extradition of out-of-state inmates, including travel cost information.
+ Ensures accurate chain of control of legal paperwork regarding active extradition proceedings.
+ Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Must be honest, truthful, trustworthy, and possess a high degree of personal integrity.
+ Ability to use office and specialized equipment, including typewriter, telephone, computer, fax machine, copier, calculator, and two-way radio.
+ Must be organized and detail-oriented and possess good grammar and punctuation skills.
+ Must be able to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
+ Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Required Education and Experience:
+ High school diploma or equivalent education.
+ Minimum one year experience in an office environment performing data entry and clerical duties.
Licenses/Certificates:
+ Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License.
+ NCIC/CCIC Advanced Operator certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment.
+ Must obtain and maintain Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Compliance within six months of employment.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
+ Must pass conditional post offer background investigation, truth verification examination, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
Work Conditions
Duties are primarily performed in an office environment. Must be able to work shift work and varying schedules.
