Here's how a Warranty Coordinator for our Solar Canada office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**
+ Determines and evaluates warranty claims working with local district staff to ensure warranty claim is valid and ensuring a consistent approach across all soar operations
+ Works with subcontractors and districts to schedule work to resolve warranty claims
+ Manages warranty claims and status in online claim management system
+ Administers the PO/Contract revisions process for any work that requires compensation
+ Understands all warranty sections in the EPCA’s for each project under warranty
+ Transfers any supplier warranties to the owner upon PCL warranty expiration
+ Works with the project teams to ensure all documentation is in place and understand any outstanding commitment with the owner when a project reaches the start of the warranty period
+ Collaborates with accounting, estimating and operations teams.
+ Creates reports to show types of claims/failures being incurred in the field and relate back to cost if applicable
+ Makes suggestions on preventative maintenance to avoid warranty claim costs and energy production downtime
**Qualifications**
+ Postsecondary diploma in electrical engineering/technical trade qualification/ or relevant industry/trade background.
+ 1 to 2 years in technical field role related to PV generation and/or power systems
+ Experience in Commissioning and testing PV generation systems including VoC, Isc, IV curve
+ Read and interpret solar plant electrical and civil site designs.
+ Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise direct report tasks for prompt execution.
+ Ability to understand weather impacts on construction activities, including seasonal constraints on the commissioning process.
+ Ability to identify and solicit internal or external support to solve warranty challenges.
+ Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Demonstrated strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
+ Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Knowledge of virtual construction software and tools.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Demonstrated experience in implementing a strong safety culture.
