POSITION SUMMARY:

\n

This role is responsible for the tasks associated with the review and processing of warranty part claims. This role ensures that claims charge-back if necessary, after the inspection of warranty parts.

\n

As a temp to perm Warranty Processor, you will reconcile hand tool returns from our distributor network of mobile tool stores. This involves identifying tools by item number and matching the items to the packing list created by the distributor. The successful candidate will be able to identify and sort failed tools for common failures for quality purposes.

\n

Attention to detail, visually identifying trends, and having the ability to catalog and look up many items using different computer systems is highly preferred! Proper lifting of up to 50 lbs is a requirement. Matco Tools are returned for repair or replacement daily and the packages may be heavy at times.

\n

This is a temp-to-perm position and in the beginning, your agency benefits are offered. However, if proven to be a Matco Tools candidate of choice and are hired as a full-time employee; benefits start on your first day, you receive (prorated) 3 weeks of vacation plus 8 holidays, 401K match, and much more!

RESPONSIBILITIES

\n\nOpen parcel packages and transfer items to sorting bins\nIdentify tool by item number from marking on the tool or from paper/online catalog\nIssue or deny credit to the distributor by appropriately coding warranty claim in the computer system\nFor items denied credit, pack and ship the item back to the distributor\nSort like items for return to supply base \nMove items/hand tools to a quarantine area and help load them onto the truck for transport to the scrap facility\nOther duties as needed\n\nA high school diploma or equivalent required\nIntermediate computer skills – Windows-based operating systems and general typing\nAbility to search websites to locate part numbers, and locate vendors\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds (or more with a second person)\n
