Your Role on Our Team: The Warranty Technician, supports the warranty team to ensure all warrantable items are completed promptly for our homeowners. This role involves contributing to an exceptional customer experience, delivering on schedule, and upholding Minto’s core values. It includes identifying deficiencies, assessing, and completing repairs in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience & Communication:
Engage with homeowners professionally to provide a positive service experience.Clearly explain repair processes and timelines.Seek opportunities to exceed homeowner expectations during service visits.Warranty Repairs & Inspections:
Assess, document, and complete warranty-related repairs promptly.Perform finishing carpentry, drywall repairs, insulation, and general construction fixes.Conduct both interior and exterior repairs, including:Interior: Windows, doors, frames, baseboards, wood flooring, carpets, tiles, grout, cabinetry, drywall, and painting.Exterior: Roofing, decking, foundation walls, siding, brickwork, and waterproofing.Install bathroom accessories and conduct minor electrical and plumbing fixture repairs as needed.Maintain a clean and safe work environment during and after service visits.Operational Excellence:
Use Newstar Web software to track work orders and document daily notes.Report completed and outstanding warranty items to the Warranty Manager/Coordinator.Identify and escalate quality concerns or recurring workmanship issues.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma is an asset.Minimum of two years of relevant work experience; on-the-job training is essential.Computer skills are an asset.General knowledge of residential construction repairs.Strong communication skills (listening, verbal, and written).Independent worker.Dependable and reliable.Team player.Flexible to move to different projects and jobs.Attention to detail.Bilingualism is an asset.Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
