Position is responsible for the proper cleaning of all linens. Additional responsibilities include loading and unloading dryers. Inputting proper formulas into washing and drying equipment. Moving linen carts to assist Laundry attendants. Keeping work area neat and organized.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Loads linen into the washerSelects the correct formula card for the type of linen being washedRecords washer start and finish on the production report.Unloads linen from the washerLoads linen in and out of the dryerKeeps work area and assigned machine cleanPerforms any other task required by the Laundry and Uniform Services AssistantEncourages a positive attitude among employees and treat other employees (and the guests) with courtesy and respectCompletes any other duties as assigned by managementNotifies immediate supervisors promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significanceIs polite, friendly, and helpful to the guests, management, and fellow employeesAttends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessionsMaintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment, and work areaExecutes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standardsComplies with safety regulations and proceduresComplies with hotel policies and rulesRecycles whenever possibleRemains current with hotel information and changesComplies with hotel uniform and grooming standardsPlus any other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

No experience necessaryMust have Basic English skillsMust be able to stand for 8 hours and withstand hot temperatures at the washing machineMust be able to pull wet sheets and lay them into a cart for processingMust be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Must be flexible to work any shifts, including weekends and holidays.Must be customer-service orientated and have excellent hospitality skillsHigh school diploma is an asset
