The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing. **Role Description:** Responsible for the Aviation Support Services to the U.S. Embassy Country Team and or the DOS INLA customer in support of their aviation program requirements within the assigned country by FW and or RW aircraft. Provide support and administrative functions necessary for the safe, efficient, effective operation of Aviation Support Services and the Embassy Air Operations Program at the Main Operating Base, MOB, Forward Operating Base, FOB and other locations as directed. This is a management and flying position. Individual will assist in managing day to day operations and will actively fly as a Pilot in Command, or higher, on either Rotary Wing or Fixed Wing aircraft, dependent on pilot experience. **Key Responsibilities:** + Support operations of a fleet of fixed-wing and or rotary-wing aircraft to support domestic and international air movements and aerial operations at the site location. + Ensure operational requirements are safely accomplished in accordance with established directives, standards and operating procedures. + Conduct analysis, prepare talking papers, reports and briefings, serve as the in country subject matter expert. + Conduct analysis, planning, and coordination to support inter and intra-theater requirements for U.S Embassy support. + Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures, Plans and CONOPs. + Plan, coordinate, and execute contingency missions. + Develop projections, track, maintain, and update the flight hour program. + Manage required operations reports, aircrew training and standards records, and flight scheduling. + Manage flight data and navigations systems and equipment, software updates, and flight information and publications, ensure all are current. + Manage flying schedules to ensure assignments are in accordance with personnel qualifications and currency, safety considerations, operational directives, maintenance capabilities and contract requirements. + Ensure all reporting and documentation, required by the contract and U.S. Embassy, are properly accomplished, accurate, and communicated to the correct authority within required timelines. + Confer with the State Department, administrative, and relevant government personnel to propose revision and adoption of rules and procedures governing in-country flight operation and other operational activities. + Assist site and functional managers in areas such as Force Protection operational and physical security, aircraft and equipment configuration and maintenance, weapons management, Aircrew Life Support Equipment, ALSE, and intelligence. + Assist in the management of operations personnel and activities on a day-to-day basis. + Assist in the selection of operations personnel and actualize personnel actions. + Maintain qualification and currency in assigned type aircraft. + Act as flight standardization and safety supervisor overseeing all aspects of flight operations, make appropriate corrections or recommend disciplinary actions when appropriate. + Perform other duties as assigned. \#LI-HD1 Qualifications: **Basic Qualifications** **:** + Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in a related field and or combination of education and related experience. + Minimum of 5 years of flight operations management experience + Minimum of 1 year performing duties with similar responsibilities managing aviation operations. + Thorough knowledge of HN, ICAO and Federal Aviation Administration regulations and other appropriate guidelines pertaining to the contract operation. + Position requires a U.S. security clearance. **RW applicants** + 1,500 total rotary wing flight hours. + 500 hours of turbine engine time. + Night Vision Goggle, NVG qualified with 300 hours of NVG experience. **FW applicants** + 1,500 total fixed wing flight hours. + 500 hours of turbine multi-engine time. - 250 hours multi-engine Pilot-in-Command time. + NVG Experience preferred. + Conversant in English. + Conversant in Spanish Level L-2, R-2 required in LATAM Programs. + Qualification in assigned aircraft before or incident to assignment. + FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate in respective type aircraft. + FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit. + Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate. **Preferred** + Previous military flight training or pilot support on the DoS INLA. + Previous qualification in one or more of the Site aircraft preferred. + Experience as a pilot and or planner in deployed contingency operations, or combat, or hostile and or austere operational. **Compensation and Benefits:** + Salaried Position. + 80/40 Rotation schedule 48 hours work week. + Competitive salary.. + Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage. + 401(k) retirement plan with company match. + Generous paid time off program. + Professional development and career advancement opportunities.
