The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing. **Role Description:** Responsible for the execution of all ground safety and environmental program requirements at the assigned site. Effectively communicate observations, findings, and recommendations, to program leadership as well as the onsite U.S Department of State representative as appropriate. Identify, assess, and mitigate hazards. Provide the administrative support required to ensure U.S. Department of State, Office of Aviation, Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement safety program compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** + Provide effective and professional communication to employees, leadership, and the U.S. Department of State. + Conduct hazard analysis and risk mitigation in order to prevent accidents, occupational injuries, or other safety-related financial losses. + Assists, as directed, with incident reporting, root cause analysis investigations, and mishap prevention strategies. + Assist in the determination of incident findings and actionable recommendations. + Develop and administer training, as required, to provide hazard awareness and assist with incident prevention. + Responsible for compliance with appropriate federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to occupational safety, including, fire prevention and response, hazardous material HAZMAT handling and storage, hazardous waste HAZWASTE transport and disposal, spill prevention and response, hearing conservation and audiometric testing, employee respirator training and usage, post-incident drug and alcohol testing, personal protective equipment PPE training and usage, confined space operations, fall arrest and prevention, and facility inspections in accordance with NFPA and OSHA guidelines. Report and correct, or mitigate, deficiencies as required. + Provide concise and accurate completion of written records, including audits and inspections, mishap investigations, meeting and council minutes, occupational safety program status, program-required key performance indicators KPIs, and employee training verification. + Develop site-specific safety documentation as required. + Provide detailed and accurate data entry to ensure safety program compliance as evaluated through external audit. + Perform routine evaluation of documents, reports, and applicable KPIs to ensure compliance with program requirements. + Ensure all assigned safety requirements are completed prior to suspense. \#LI-MZ1 Qualifications: Required: + Advanced oral and written communication proficiency. + Ability to maintain strong customer relationships. + Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. + Associate's degree or educational equivalent. + Minimum three 3 years of experience as a Safety Professional. + Training in OSHA, EPA, and HAZMAT- HAZWASTE storage, handling, and disposal procedures. + Experience required in OSHA Hazardous Materials 2015, Machine Guarding 2045, Respiratory Protection 2225, Permit Require Confined Space Entry 2264, Safety General Standards 511, Industrial Hygiene 521, Blood Borne Pathogens 7200, Electrical Standards 3095, Fall Protection 3115 or equivalent safety training. + Current or previous certifications-recertification in Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response HAZWOPER and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act RCRA. + Formal, documented training and experience in risk management and hazard mitigation, incident investigation, emergency response planning, lockout-tag out procedures, ergonomics, hazard communications, fire prevention, and safety management systems. + US Security Clearance required.
