Wastewater/Collections Project Manager - Canton, MI
Are you an experience Wastewater Operator or Mechanic with leadership experience and would like to join our collaborative team in Canton, MI? As a Wastewater/ Collections Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the project including profit and loss, safety, quality, and employee supervision and management including staffing, compensation, training and development. Working with other members of our team and the client you’ll build and maintain positive business and customer relationships, and lead the planning, organization, operations, maintenance and improvement of the facility. You’ll also be responsible for implementing safety policy and procedures and maintaining the site assets. Bring your team-focus, adaptability, and commitment to excellence, and we’ll help you grow what drives you - and deliver the world’s most challenging Operations Management projects, together. #omfs #challengeaccepted #bia #ourjacobs • Hold Certification in Maintenance, Reliability, or Asset Management - CMRT or equivalent (or willing to achieve in first 18 months of employment) • Advanced experience in the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater/ collections facility • Experience leading, coaching and supervising a team • Proficient performing mathematical and algebraic calculations associated with wastewater treatment • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, data management systems with understanding and ability to operate VFD’s, PLC’s and SCADA systems. • Valid driver’s license with no major infractions Ideally, You’ll Also Have: • High school diploma or equivalent • Associates or College degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Business Administration • Experience in maintaining Collection System assets • Capable of working independently and maintaining an orderly schedule • Expertise of the technical aspects of the facility • Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: The work area can involve a working environment indoors, as well as, outdoors which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. Safety is of the utmost importance. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact. Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination when preparing reports and using a computer keyboard, have vision sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents and operate office equipment, have hearing in the normal range with or without correction. In an 8-hour time period must be able to transport self across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, wear and use appropriate safety equipment.
