Job Description SummaryThe Wastewater Operator will perform overall operation and maintenance of our industrial waste treatment plant, controlling the acid neutralization / chemical precipitation process in accordance with permit discharge parameters. Additionally they will be responsible for monitoring the storage and mixing of chemicals used in manufacturing process prior to wastewater operations.

What you'll do

Operate the equipment in treatment plant to control flow and processing of discharged materialMonitor system controls and adjust valves manually or by remote control to regulate flow of effluent dischargeObserve operating conditions, interpret control readings, and tests results to control flow of influent waters through filtering, flocculation and clarification processesMaintain operation log and records flow, PH, and discharge readingsCollect samples and perform routine tests and analysesCarry out and complete routine maintenance functions and housekeeping in the waste treatment areaMonitor waste acid storage tanks and ensure that waste processing is on pace with production needsMonitor raw acid storage tanks to ensure integrity of containments for safe storage practicesPerform automated acid mixing and monitor process acid storage tanks to enable manufacturing productionReceive and oversee bulk chemical deliveriesPerform, as assigned, other similar or related duties

What you will bring

High School Diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of 3 years operating experience in industrial wastewater plantBasic computer skills (email)

Eligibility Requirements

The base hourly pay range for this position is $27 -$37 hr. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% shift differential. ​
