General: The wastewater operator operates, monitors, and troubleshoots the wastewater treatment facility and its processes. The position reports to the maintenance supervisor with a primary work schedule of Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work early or late shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. Specific Duties / Responsibilities: + Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems according to standard operating procedures + Monitor wastewater levels, flow rates, and quality, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure compliance with regulations + Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems + Collect samples and perform tests to analyze wastewater quality and ensure compliance with environmental standards + Complete required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner + Assist with the development of maintenance plans and participate in process improvement initiatives + Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment + Provide training and guidance to other wastewater operators as needed + Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Previous experience in wastewater treatment operations preferred Skills/Abilities/Attributes: + Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment + Understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements + Ability to analyze and interpret data + Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills + Good communication and teamwork skills + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision + Physical ability to perform the required tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various weather conditions Benefits + Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) + Retirement Plan (401k) + Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) + Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick) + Short Term Disability
