Job Summary:
As a Wastewater Treatment Technician, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining wastewater treatment systems to ensure the safe and efficient treatment of wastewater.

Key Responsibilities:System Operation:Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, filters, and chemical feeders.Adjust and control process variables such as flow rates, chemical dosages, and equipment settings to maintain optimal performance.Monitoring and Testing:Perform routine tests on wastewater samples to monitor parameters.Record and analyze test results to ensure compliance.Maintenance and Repairs:Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on treatment equipment and machinery.Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions and failures promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and detailed records of operational data, maintenance activities, and compliance reports.Prepare and submit reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities to the Maintenance Manager.Safety and Compliance:Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.Emergency Response:Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures or contamination incidents, and implement corrective actions as needed.Training and Development:Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current with industry standards, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree in a technical field is preferred.Experience: Previous experience in wastewater treatment/maintenance or a related field is advantageous. On-the-job training will be provided.Skills:Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.Proficiency in operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to treatment processes.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Effective communication skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to [50] pounds.Capability to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor settings.Good manual dexterity and vision to operate equipment and perform tests.Working Conditions:Full-time position with weekend and on-call duties.Work may involve exposure to hazardous materials and chemicals, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
