Wastewater Treatment Operator
**Job Title: Wastewater Treatment Operator** **Job Description:** Are you ready to make a splash in the world of wastewater treatment? We're on the hunt for a full-time Plant Operator for an exciting operations project in Muskegon, MI. As a Plant Operator, you'll dive into a variety of tasks, from mid-complex to complex, all tailored to meet our client's needs. **Responsibilities:** + Keep the treatment plant running smoothly with daily operations and maintenance. + Tackle minor routine maintenance of equipment with ease. + Show off your stellar interpersonal skills. + Apply your knowledge of fundamental principles, terminology, and methodology to get the job done. + Operate facilities using computer or PLC controls. + Monitor, regulate, and adjust chlorinators, chemical feed pumps, and other process equipment. + Collect samples and perform routine in-lab tests as needed. + Maintain a detailed log of operations and maintenance activities. + Ensure the system stays compliant with permit requirements. + Wash clarifiers, dissolved air flotation systems, contact basins, and operate sludge handling equipment and other process unit equipment as required. + Bring your expertise in the practices and equipment used in the O&M of industrial facilities. + Conduct routine laboratory and field tests to control plant operations. + Possibly operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, aerial or scissor lifts, generators, compressors, pumps, etc. + Be an active participant in creating a safety culture at the jobsite. + Adhere to the policies and standards set forth in the Firm’s Project Delivery Manual (PDM), Employee Manual, and Corporate Health & Safety Manual. **Essential Skills:** + High School Diploma / Vocational training or equivalent. + Applicable health & safety training. + Typically, 5+ years of experience. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office. + Wastewater operator licenses preferred but not required. + Valid driver's license. + Ability to perform basic control laboratory testing and understand and apply results. + Good record-keeping skills. + Comfortable with computers and computer-controlled equipment. + Capable of learning new operating, maintenance, analytical, or computer skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Experience in wastewater treatment, mechanical, maintenance repair, operation, repair, pump assembly, valves, water system. **Job Type & Location:** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Muskegon, Michigan. **Ready to dive in?
