Wastewater treatment plant operator (WWTP) Night Shift
**Amentum** is looking for a Wastewater treatment plant operator (WWTP) Role to join our **Operations Team** . The WWTP Operator is a position that will support to Front of House (FOH) team to attend the customer requirements related to the daily operation of the treatment plant and systems under the scope of the department. **Essential Responsibilities:** + Responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment and systems included in the contract with the customer. + Operates equipment at customer site (Start, stop and adjust as needed). + Performs level 1 maintenance on equipment (clean, grease and replace parts as needed). + Obtains, analyzes and records water samples as needed. + Takes totalizers and readings to ensure proper process parameters, + Reporting on chemical stock levels and spare parts inventory. + Responsible for plant equipment inspections and performs preventive and emergency maintenance as needed. + Basic maintenance knowledge (purge a pump, change a hose, repair a PVC pipe, unclog some dosing line). + Experience in Physicochemical Laboratory work (desirable). + Experience in handling and disposal of activated sludge. + Knowledge of sludge dewatering systems. Additional Information: + CCMS Software knowledge and demonstrate experience. + This position may require a knowledge with CMMS System. **Minimum Requirements:** + High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent and related experience with customer services. + Excel Software knowledge or similar database apps. + Entrants to this position requires 3 years of experience in WWTP Systems. + Microsoft Office Package knowledge and demonstrated experience. + Soft Skill such as: teamwork, order, timeliness, integrity. Physical Requirements: + Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement. + Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, kneel, reach/stretch, and move in a 90-degree fashion during workday. + Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. + Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents. + Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other Amentum, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations. + Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations. + Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line. + Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations. + Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress. Special Requirements: + Working towards an increasing knowledge of industrial/facilities systems and components: pumps, combustion systems, piping, hydraulics, rotating equipment, HVAC, etc. + Leadership skills (training, presentations, & teambuilding) and project management. + Organizational skills coupled with the leadership and interpersonal skills to be able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. + Ability to communicate with all levels of management and interface with a diverse customer base including technical and non-technical personnel to effectively support a multi-discipline team environment. + Ability or understanding of how to create CMMS ad hoc reports and submit Work Requests for complex data reports. + Familiar with LEAN methodologies and tools. + Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
