Primary Role

Operate and monitor water treatment plant and various remote site.

Key Accountabilities Obtains samples and perform applicable laboratory analysis. Capable of reading and interpreting all gauges, graphs and other SCADA devices used in treatment facility. Perform maintenance work as required. Read maps, mechanical and electrical drawings. Work with and around various chemicals associated with water industry Perform locates Operation of computer (iPad/Toughbook, et al) Flushing hydrants Operation of distribution valves Drive a company vehicle in all weather conditions (must have valid operators license) Read maps and drawings Communication via telephone, email, face to face, and instant messaging Production Service Watch (see contract for Service Watch requirements and work schedule) Understand and comply with company procedures and how they relate to area of responsibility Other duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills

General knowledge of water sampling, testing procedures, chemical handling and storage, and lab equipment Familiarity with safety standards and OSHA regulations .Read and understand instructions, operating procedures, safety rules Mathematical skills for calculating chemical dosages, volumes, weights, flows, and other algebraic formulas. Mechanical ability sufficient to operate pumps, valves, motors and other equipment. Knowledge of water and/or wastewater treatment plant operations. Experience/Education High School Diploma or GED required Certifications & Licenses The appropriate IDEM certification (WT3) shall be obtained within one (1) year from the time that the employee is notified by IDEM that they are eligible Valid Drivers license with the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check Competencies Champions safetyCollaboratesCultivates innovationCustomer obsessedDrives ResultsNimble learning
