Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Engineer Intern. This is a unique opportunity to advance your career with a growing water resources practice focusing on FEMA Flood Studies, Watershed Modeling, Flood Mitigation, Stormwater Studies and Application Development.
Your Key Responsibilities
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tasks for a variety of water resources projects including dams, levee systems, watershed and floodplain studies and stormwater systems Assist in FEMA Risk Map studies Assist in USACE H&H analyses Effectively convey project work, schedules and results in technical documents Conduct field investigations on various projects including but not limited to: dam inspections, hydrology and hydraulic evaluations, and levee inspectionsCapabilities and Credentials
Ideal candidate would be seeking to fulfill practicum or internship requirement for a university, college, or technical institute program in Civil, Biosystems, or Environmental Engineering Prior experience performing engineering calculations Prior experience writing technical documents Possesses excellent time management skills Ability to effectively discuss project issues with project team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Presentation and interview skillsPreferred Additional Capabilities
