About the Role & TeamAs a Water Sciences Project Specialist, you will manage and support projects to maintain the 12 million gallons of water located between Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Aulani, and Castaway Cay. This role will be focused on smaller scale projects to make system improvement for the operations, chemistry, and analyst teams within Water Sciences.
This is a Full-Time role where you will report to the Water Sciences Project Manager & Engineer.
What You Will DoManage a dedicated portfolio of multi-discipline projects on Water Science systemsPerform technical calculations and analysis to aid in system trouble shootingAssist in the management of large-scale projects and future work planningPerform as an owner’s representative for Water Sciences on work managed by other partnersCoordinate with key stakeholders to develop project schedules and downtimesLead project related meetings such as design reviews, site walks, and coordination discussionsMake project related decisions in partnership with peers and leaders to provide direction to internal and external partnersDevelop and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and partnersCoordinate with Integrated Facilities Planning (IFP) for development of future projectsRequired Qualifications & SkillsPrevious experience with technical drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with drafting programs and drawing development (e.g. AutoCAD and Revit)Basic understanding of water filtration systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to quickly adjust to changing situations and maintain an open mind to new concepts or ideasComfort with understanding and conveying project and technical details both verbally and writtenAbility to manage multiple projects running concurrentlyAbility to work independentlyUnderstanding of project development and management: concept development, estimating and funding, design, bidding for construction, scheduling, budget tracking, and field managementPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience with Engineering with preference to Mechanical Engineering.Previous experience with project management and the construction industryEducationAssociate's Degree in Sciences or related fieldBachelor's Degree in Sciences or related field preferredBenefits and PerksDisney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
