Freese and Nichols is currently searching for Water/Wastewater Pipeline and Pump Station Project Manager in our El Paso, Texas office. As Water/Wastewater Pipeline and Pump Station Project Manager you will manage projects through study, design and construction phases of water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, stormwater pump stations, large diameter pipelines and utility work.
Serving as primary client contact, advising and informing them regarding project status and scheduleCommunicating with regulatory agencies, vendors, contractors, partner firms, whose work or services are related to the project and communicating relevant information to the community, or technical groups with interests related to the projectPerforming and directing complex studies and investigations and preparing reports of findingsSelecting equipment and material for projects and/or approving manufacturer’s shop drawings of these itemsCoordinating phases of the work to ensure completion within the established time and budgetary constraintsAdvising Construction Manager of questions or problems which arise during constructionDirecting assignments, scheduling work and providing technical oversight for project staff including engineers, technicians, designers, drafters and field representativesReviewing progress to provide continuity, conformity, and qualityChecking calculations of others and sealing drawings and reportsReviewing progress to provide continuity, conformity, and qualityMaintaining and expanding technical capabilities to ensure that projects utilize state-of-the-art technologyQualificationsBachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering10+ years’ experience with design of in water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, and large and small diameter pipelines Professional engineer (PE) license in TexasAbout Freese and NicholsAt the heart of our culture is our LEADS values (Learn continuously, Engage as family, Act with integrity, Deliver quality, and Serve always).
