HDR is currently seeking an Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Water Business Group in Western Canada. This position will require an individual with a passion for challenges and working across regional boundaries while identifying and pursuing opportunities which will support HDR’s long-term growth initiatives.
The successful candidate will be involved in project delivery, project management, technical leadership, quality management, client relationships and mentoring and will also have an opportunity to grow within HDR’s career talent development ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Intermediate Water/Wastewater Engineer, we'll count on you to:
Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity,Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently,Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines,Supervise project staff and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Engineers,Establish client relations and be involved with contractual, design and production meetings.Preferred QualificationsA minimum of 7 years of related experienceCommitted to quality, a passion for innovation, collaboration, improvement and HDR values,Experience working on the design and evaluation of municipal projects, drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping and conveyance projects will be an asset,Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent fieldPrevious experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects Professional Engineer (PE) license Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
